       生活工作太忙碌，爸爸妈妈们不一定有时间关注孩子的礼仪教养，不过，只要注意将这25条教给孩子就行啦。

View Google maps offline

If you're going someplace where mobile data is expensive or you won't have an Internet connection, you can save a map to your device and use it when you're offline.

Download a selected area of the map

1. Make sure you're connected to the Internet, then open the Google Maps app .
2. Search for a place, like "San Francisco."
3. Pull up the place info sheet at the bottom of the screen, and touch the menu  in the top right corner.
4. Select Save offline map to save the selected area of the map. (Sign into your Google Account, if you haven't already.)
5. Only what's on the screen will be saved. Adjust the map by moving it and zooming in or out, as needed, then touchSave.
6. Name the map, and then touch Save.
7. After a few moments, you'll see a message confirming that the map area has been saved.

Note: The maximum size for the area you can download is 50km x 50km. If you try to save an area bigger than that, you'll be asked to zoom in to a smaller area.

Tip: If you're already on a map that you want to save, you can save it without searching for a place.

1. Move the map to the area you want to save.
2. Touch inside the search box at the top, and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
3. Touch Save map to use offline.

For older Android device or older Google Maps version

View your saved maps

1. Open the Google Maps app .
2. Touch the menu  > Your places.
3. Scroll down to "Offline maps" and touch View all and manage.

For older Android device or older Google Maps version

Rename, update, or delete your saved maps

1. Open the Google Maps app .
2. Touch the menu  > Your places.
3. Scroll down to the "Offline maps" and touch View all and manage.
4. Touch the menu icon  to the right of the saved map.
5. Touch Rename, Update, or Delete.
6. Confirm changes.

For older Android device or older Google Maps version

You'll delete your saved offline maps if you clear your application data on your device.

You won't delete your saved offline maps if you sign out of the Google Maps app, delete your Search History, or delete your Maps history.

Expire after 30 days

To make sure that your map has the most up-to-date information, your saved maps need to be updated at least once every 30 days. If you don’t update them, they’ll expire and be removed from your saved maps list.

Troubleshooting

"The on-screen map area is too large"

If you see this error, zoom in to a smaller area on the map until you see the Save button appear at the bottom of the map.

"Some of your offline maps are out of date"

You'll see this message, when your saved map needs to be updated.

Limitations

Cannot search or use navigation

Your saved map includes streets and maps data. Zoom in to see a detailed view of your offline map.

Certain features, like satellite, terrain, indoor maps, and 3D buildings will not be available offline. Features that require a network connection, like directions and Navigation aren’t available offline, either.

Tip: Since you cannot search an offline map, save several smaller maps covering the same area.

For example, if you're traveling to a big city, you can save a map for each neighborhood you're visiting. Name the map after the neighborhood, so that you can easily find it later.

Cannot see the "save" button

Maps for some geographic areas can’t be saved.

About offline maps availability

Maps are free to download, but phone and carrier data rates continue to apply. Loading a large map could use a lot of data, and cause your device to run slowly as well.

“天天提示我的iCloud空间不够，天知道这免费的5GB空间到底够毛用的？！”

　　这样的抱怨几乎总能听见。说来也是，对于目前网络云盘动辄几个TB的免费空间，iCloud这点简直连皮毛都算不上。更重要的是，作为苹果官方提供的云存储空间iCloud压根又是不可替代的解决方案，这里有太多需要存储和备份的信息。

iCloud升级方案

　　那么，能不能不花钱让5GB的免费空间够用呢？想解决这个问题，首先要知道iCloud里到底都存了什么东西。

　　在5GB的空间内，iCloud存储文件大体可分为四类，包括：照片、备份、文稿与数据、邮件。

　　1、照片

iCloud照片图库可备份所有图片

　　在iOS 8.1之后，苹果提供了“iCloud照片图库”功能，该功能会将系统中整个图库上传至iCloud。并提供了两种存储模式，一种是本地和iCloud中都存储照片原件，另一种是iCloud存储原件，而iPhone中存储优化后的低分辨率预览照片。后者能够大大降低照片占用本地的空间，而当用户在回看时会重新从iCloud下载原始文件，与此同时照片右下角也会有个圆形的下载进度提示。

　　2、备份

iOS设备备份是占用iCloud空间“大户”

　　这也就是我们使用iCloud最重要的功能之一，因为它摆脱了此前必须连接iTunes的线缆式同步，而是采用实时的方式以保证数据不丢失。

　　备份中会存储使用了同一个账户的iOS设备中的所有个人信息。说的通俗点，也就是说无论你在哪一代iPhone或是iPad上开启iCloud并登陆了这一账户，该设备内的所有信息都会进行备份。

　　备份的内容包括设置信息、照片图库以及应用内数据等。

　　iCloud备份的设置信息非常全面，包括墙纸是哪张、哪个应用禁止通知，甚至是你调整的屏幕亮度都会一一记录。以至于，当你从iCloud恢复完之后，这部手机与之前提供备份的设备如出一辙。

　　其次，iCloud中会备份照片图库，照片图库在iOS 8.1之后也就是上面提到的“iCloud照片图库”，由于在此前版本里由于没有完善的照片备份方案，所以备份中会有“相机胶卷”的选项，而如今两者已经合二为一。

　　最后就是应用内数据，这部分数据包括你的微博、微信的登陆信息，聊天记录，设置选项等等。也就是说，你所有下载应用内的个人使用数据都会包含在内。

　　3、文稿与数据

iWork文稿文件会被同步管理

　　这里主要是如Pages、Numbers、iMovie等软件所存储的文稿数据。而在有了iCloud Drive后，这类文稿数据就不再只是作为应用内数据备份，而是独立文件方便编辑和使用。当然这种使用可实现跨平台实时编辑，实时同步。

　　4、邮件

　　这个就更没什么好说的了，包括你设置的所有邮箱信息，以及草稿、分类或是旗标信息等。

　　好了，了解这些以后，我们就可以做到有的放矢节约iCloud空间。

　　1、用第三方云存储软件替代“iCloud照片图库”

第三方照片同步工具

　　这是占用空间最多的内容，对于稍微喜欢拍照一点的用户来说，存个4-5GB的照片如同家常便饭，更别说有了孩子的父母，里面存满了孩子长大的每一个瞬间，那么恐怕128GB容量的iPhone 6也不算富裕。

很容易免费获得TB级别空间

　　所以，第一步一定要关闭iCloud照片图库。那么把这个功能关闭后，一旦设备被偷，岂不是所有照片都没了？

　　当然不会，目前有太多第三方的云储存方案，可以提供免费的空间方便备份，并且默认都是在WiFi环境下自动备份，你压根不会感觉它的存在，但是照片都已经成功上传。更重要的是，此类空间可通过各种形式免费扩升上限，弄个几TB免费空间并不费劲。

　　如此解决了照片同步的问题，也省去了照片占用iCloud空间的烦恼。

　　2、关闭部分应用内数据备份

　　进入设置-iCloud-储存空间-管理储存空间，这里可以看到iCloud占用的详细目录。其中，备份中会有各个已经备份的iOS设备名称，点进去可以看到已经备份的各个应用占用空间详细信息。

适当关闭一些应用内备份也很重要

　　当然还是需要关闭一些内容，而这些内容又恰恰是备份到iCloud多余的部分。比如高德导航的地图文件，系统会把离线地图当做是应用数据进行备份，要知道这可是动辄1-2GB的文件。这类文件可以随时重新下载，并不会永久性丢失，完全没有必要备份。

　　亦或者是iMovie编辑的视频项目文件，又或者是部分播放器内导入的视频文件，也都是占用空间的“大户”。而这些是否需要备份就看自己的需要了，当然我认为对于微信数据来说，这些都不值一提，所以统统关闭。

　　通过这两种方式，应该能够有效地帮你的iCloud瘦身，当然如果还是不够，就只能任性一把，花钱升级下存储空间，目前6元每月即可升至20GB，25元每月升至200GB，68元每月升至500GB，138元美元的土豪可以有1TB空间使用。(琪欣)

z: 在 iPad 上使用 Unblock Youku 观看大陆网站影片

由于版权等方面的原因，优酷土豆等网站上的很多视频仅限中国大陆用户观看，这对身处国外的华人来说很不便。Unblock Youku 是我之前介绍的一个 Chrome 浏览器扩展程序，可以用来解除地域限制，使得海外用户也能访问国内的视频网站观看电影剧集。随着苹果 iPad 平板电脑等设备的普及，使用 iOS 设备观看大陆影片的需求越来越多，而这些设备上是无法使用 Unblock Youku 插件的。为了解决这个问题，我们可以设置浏览器的 proxy 代理。Unblock Youku 目前实验性地提供了一个代理自动配置 PAC 文件，非常简单方便。

一、代理设置

简单来说，只用给浏览器或者 iOS 设备设定一个代理自动配置 PAC (proxy auto-config) 文件就可以了。PAC 文件的地址为

http://yo.uku.im/proxy.pac

iOS 设备可以在当前使用的 WiFi 的高级选项里设置 HTTP 代理。如下图所示

二、检查代理设置是否成功

按照上面的步骤设置之后，可以在浏览器中打开页面 http://ipservice.163.com/isFromMainland

如果页面显示的是 true，便说明代理设置完毕，例如下图中的结果

三、代理服务器状态监控

设置好 PAC 后，如果遇到以上测试返回 false 的情况，有可能是我们的转发服务器遇到了问题。参考下面的状态图便于查看服务器最近的运行状态，点击图片可以得到更详细的信息。

1. 安装 Firefox for Android.
2. 使用 Firefox 访问 about:config 进行手工设置，把 network.proxy.type 值设为 2（即使用 PAC 文件）
3. 把 network.proxy.autoconfig_url 设为 http://yo.uku.im/proxy.pac
4. 可以开始看片了

缺点：此方法只对火狐浏览器观看网页版视频有效，不能用在 app 应用程序里。

zhuan: 在 Android 上使用 Unblock Youku 观看国内视频

国内的优酷、土豆、搜狐、爱奇艺等网站上的很多正版影视资源屏蔽了海外 IP，仅限中国大陆用户观看。为了解除地域限制，很多海外华人使用 Unblock Youku 浏览器插件，iOS 设备则可以 设定 PAC 代理，而现在使用安卓平板和手机的用户通过 Drony 也可以 Unblock Youku 了。

Drony 是 Android 系统上的一个 app，它支持和 iOS 一样的 PAC 自动代理配置，使用它配合 Unblock Youku 的 PAC 文件，浏览影音网站以及优酷土豆等官方 app 均可解封，且不影响系统上其他 apps 正常使用，不影响上下载速度。

一、设置步骤

首先请前往 Google Play 官方下载安装 Drony：
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.sandroproxy.drony

1. 打开 Drony，进入 setting

在 WiFi 下，选择你正在使用的 WiFi 网络：

 

在 3G/4G 网络环境中，则选择 Setting for not listed networks

2. 修改 Script Proxy 设置，输入 PAC 地址，并下载，测试，保存

http://yo.uku.im/proxy.pac

 

3. 修改 Proxy Type 为 Script

4. 启动 Drony

5. 修改系统代理设置

二、检查代理设置是否成功

按照上面的步骤设置之后，可以在浏览器中打开页面 http://ipservice.163.com/isFromMainland

iCloud: Moving Google Calendars to iCloud (from other post)

Well, I guess when I mentioned 'near future' in the previous post that 'near future' really meant near near!

Let's return to our familiar format of Q&A.

Q: Can I move calendars from Google to iCloud? 

A: Yes! Yes you can!

Q: Is it easy? 

A: Yes! Yes it is! In fact, it's a million times easier than I expected. It's actually way easier than syncing contacts and revising all of them, and definitely easier and faster than the actual iOS 5 update process!

Q: Okay, what do I need to know? 

A: There're a couple things. Here we go, numbered points style. Hopefully the pics will help you out.

[1] Export all your calendars from Google calendar. Open your Google calendars in your nearest web browser. On the top right corner, click on the Gear symbol. Select Calendar Settings. Click on the Calendarstab.

You will see the following screen. At the bottom of the page, click on Export calendars. What this does is it will make a .zip file containing all of the calendars.

[2] Open iCal. Go to File > New Calendar > iCloud. Give it the name of your choice.  

The calendar will now appear in your Calendars list. 

[3] Open your Finder window. Double click on the .zip file. Doing so will put an uncompressed copy of the folder in the same location. Open this uncompressed folder, and double click on the calendar file (ends with .ics) of your choosing. Even though the name will be long, the calendar name should be there at the beginning of the file name. 

[4] You will receive a 'warning' which you can ignore. Click Open. 

[5] You will be redirected to iCal, where you will be asked to select which calendar to place this file. Select the iCloud calendar you recently made. Click on OK. 

[6] That's it! Now you're done. The Google calendar has been successfully imported into the iCloud. These events will appear on any iOS 5 device that is syncing calendars using iCloud. If you want to check that everything is in order, visit www.icloud.com. Only calendars that were successfully uploaded to iCloud will appear in the browser. 

Of note, to make life easier, you will probably want to the iCloud calendars your default. To do this, go toiCal > Preferences. Change the Default Calendar as desired.
